The National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 2008 indicated that drinking from the ages of 12 to 20 has remained the same which from previous years was 28% of this age group in the populace reported drinking. This is a significant statistic. Usually, imbibing alcohol decreases with age. The fact is that there actually was a decrease in 10th and 12th graders but now an increasingly larger amount of younger teens, ages 12 to 14 are taking up this risky business. A shockingly high percentage, of 7 out of 10 students reported having consumed alcohol. A solution has to be accomplished.
It has long been a standard practice of highway patrols and police to take a % breathalyzer| breathalyzers|alcohawk breathalyzer % after pulling over a person who they believe to be intoxicated. Now, this tool is actually available on the market as a preventative measure. alcohawk breathalyzers are being utilized by educational institutes, clubs that allow 18 to 20 year old in amongst others and various other businesses. An ounce of prevention, as they say, is worth a pound of cure.
Some of the easiest precautionary techniques are often quite simple and inexpensive and as aforementioned can be used not only by educators but by parents also.
A large amount of college students, 18 to 20 are caught up in the alcohol binge drinking as entertainment and sport. Sadly to say, fun is not the only thing associated with alcohol consumption on campuses across the nation. There are assaults, heavier drug consumption, and even deaths reported where alcohol was involved. There has been an increase in STD’s and genital herpes due to the inhibitive effects of alcohol and teens raging sex drives. Women becoming rape victims due to alcohol being used by the victim or by the assaulter. Women and drinking on college campuses has increased immensely since 1977. Violent crimes have increased and have been found to be alcohol related. It would probably behoove dorm “mothers” and campus police to have a %keyword1 % to be utilized as a preventative measure and also after crimes or misdeeds have been undertaken.
The usage of underage drinking has become and will continue to be a major public problem. We have to use all the preventative measures we can come up with in order to stave off this deadly disease that seems to be so prevalent.

If there is something that can happen to any child on a daily basis, it is bullying. It is really sad that children, or even some adults, are on the receiving end of the physical or emotional attacks committed by their peers or other people. More than the physical bullying, there is now a new form of intimidation called cyberbullying which takes place on the Internet and on mobile phones. Cyberbullying exists when a person is being harassed, hurt or harmed by another using mobile phones, the Internet and other devices. To ensure that our kids do not become victims, or even perpetrators of any form of bullying is one of the biggest responsibilities we have as parents. For such a long time, I have been looking for an application that will help me monitor my kid’s mobile phone activities, but apparently most anti-cyberbullying products today are only designed for use in computers and the Internet.
