There are Doctor Who toys and collectibles merchandise on offer almost as long as there are adventures for Doctor Who. Through timethere are some really memorable Doctor Who toys and merchandise, like the classic 60s Dalek costumes for children, and a few that haven’t been so brilliant (the Dapol figures return to mind). Thankfully, with the sustained huge popularity of Doctor Who toys, merchandise and DVDs, the phenomenon looks well set to be on offer for a good long period still.

This is brilliant. I’ve personally adored Doctor Who for 20 years, and was therefore delighted when it came back onto our television screens during 2005. Sure, there are some less than stellar episodes since it returned, however these are luckily few. Christopher Eccleston’s ninth Doctor brought the television series back in style, however it had been the advent of David Tennant’s tenth Doctor that actually saw the show set out as a world experience.

It’s bigger at this point than it ever was during the original 1963-1989 run, and since it came back it has attracted some of the finest talent the British Television and cinema industry has to supply, both in front of and behind the camera. The line of Doctor Who toys at this point on offer is wide and wonderfully exciting for enthusiasts young and recent, who have a huge choice of toys, games, posters, statues and more to add to their Doctor Who collection.

Plus, at this point that the age of the eleventh Doctor is set to start, ushering in Matt Smith within the lead role as our famous Time Lord, everything will change and an entire new-found line of Doctor Who merchandise will be unveiled, with the new logo, the new version of the Doctor, his new companion, the new version of the TARDIS and a new rogue’s gallery of monsters and villains!

The return of Doctor Who took old enthusiasts by surprise, however it had been the sheer size of its popularity that has shocked everyone even more. At the moment there are Doctor Who toys, merchandise and collectibles on offer at all brilliant stores and on all of the best sites on the internet, and therefore the line will keep on growing and changing. Just like the Time Lord , Doctor Who toys and merchandise keeps on coming back!
