If you have decided to become a nanny, then there are many steps that you can take in order to protect and prepare you for this wonderfully rewarding and demanding position. Other than feeding and entertaining the children, you may be asked to take them on play dates, other activities, perhaps tutor them or even cook and clean. If you decide to work with an agency, then you will have to fulfill whatever requirements they may have in place. Some of the more common items needed include references, a driver’s license, CPR training and being able to pass a criminal and/or background check.
